With the development of nanopore-based DNA sequencing methods, the main advantages of this method have become apparent, and the desire of researchers to make this method feasible for the medical system can be seen in the literature. It is now regarded as the method with the greatest potential for real-time analysis at the single-molecule level. Accurate identification and Quantification of biomarkers is essential as it provides a solid foundation for developing personalized medicine and specific and targeted treatments. One category of essential biomarkers is proteins, which have a complex involvement in the functions of the human body and in the early detection of diseases. Protein analysis has always been a challenge for researchers due to their three-dimensional structure, electrical charge, and interactions with other molecules. We believe that protein analysis is of significant value and that the potential of nanopores for this purpose cannot be ignored. Therefore, we aim to highlight the key elements required in the process of signal analysis of molecules passing through nanopores.
