摘要

The aim of the study was to identify with a mathematical model of multiple linear regression the influence of the cephalometric values of the cranial base on the skeletal and soft tissue profiles. 120 lateral cephalometric radiographs of patients with malocclusions were digitally analyzed by Steiner and Jarabak methods. 14 cephalometric measurements were selected. The statistical processing was done in SPSS 27.0. The linear correlation coefficients revealed the relationship between the plane of the anterior cranial base and the sagittal positions of the bases of the maxillary (p = 0.039) and mandible (p = 0.043). The coefficients of multiple linear regression model revealed the influence of the angle of mandibular growth on the angle of skeletal convexity (p = 0.000); the sagittal position of the maxillary and the angle of mandibular growth influenced the profile of the upper lip (p = 0.000; p = 0.001); the angle of mandibular growth influenced the profile of the lower lip (p = 0.001).
