Aspects Regarding the Experimental Testing of Orthopedic Hip Revision Assemblies
摘要
The paper presents in Introduction morphological and anatomical aspects of the coxo-femoral joint. Next, four revision orthopedic assemblies made on bone fragments taken from the animal (cow) are presented. Thus, the prosthetic system with titanium component, the classic revision system, the system with structural graft and the system with the fragmented graft and the reconstruction mesh were carried out in laboratory conditions. They were mounted on the EDZ 20 universal test machine and the force at which these orthopedic mounts failed was determined. Analyzing the force values that led to the definitive damage of the four orthopedic systems, it was observed that the force values are relatively close. For this reason, it can be concluded that the analyzed orthopedic systems withstand relatively similar mechanics. Finally, important conclusions were highlighted.
