摘要

This study examines the quality of life among Romanian patients with dystonia using the EQ-5D-5L instrument. Responses to the EQ-5D-5L questionnaire and the Visual Analog Scale (VAS) score, together with demographic and clinical characteristics were collected. Among the 90 enrolled dystonia patients (age: 21–82 years), the highest frequency of reported “no problems” was with self-care (65.6%), followed by mobility (41.1%), anxiety/depression (35.6%), usual activities (33.3%) and pain (17.8%). The pain was the dimension that patients were the most likely to report as “extreme”, or low health status (7.8%). The EQ-5D-5L index was obtained by applying the Romanian preference value set. The mean EQ-5D-5L index and EQ-VAS score were 0.74 and 61.1, respectively. A strong correlation (0.62) between the EQ-5D-5L index and EQ VAS was found. Our results show that dystonia can negatively impact the quality of life in Romanian patients.
