A Study on the Correlation Between EEG Wave Patterns and Conscientiousness

This research aims to confirm the findings on the connection between EEG wave values and conscientiousness. It is widely accepted that those who demonstrate high conscientiousness typically display more significant activity in the brain’s prefrontal cortex, enabling them to be more meticulous in their attention to detail and process information more efficiently. This heightened activity is reflected in elevated beta brainwave rhythms. To explore this association, we comprehensively analyzed EEG data collected from various individuals with varying degrees of conscientiousness. Our results offer robust empirical evidence that specific EEG wave patterns, especially beta waves, are linked to conscientious personality traits. Our findings support the notion that individuals with higher levels of conscientiousness display heightened beta-wave activity in the prefrontal cortex, indicating a propensity for greater cognitive control and meticulous attention to detail. We propose a new model for evaluating conscientiousness levels using EEG wave analysis. We suggest a measurable approach that objectively assesses a person’s conscientiousness based on their neurophysiological responses. This innovative approach has the potential to make significant contributions to the fields of neurology and psychology, providing a distinctive outlook on comprehending and evaluating personality traits.
