This article delves into the correlation between EEG patterns and depression levels. Our research confirms the effectiveness of classical methods in determining a respondent’s level of depression. Our findings indicate that specific EEG patterns are linked to this disorder, including changes in brain wave frequency and amplitude, a more significant presence of theta waves, and a decrease in alpha and beta waves. However, the specific EEG patterns may vary depending on the individual, stage, and severity of depression. Ongoing research suggests that EEG could become a valuable diagnostic and evaluation tool for depression and its progression. In the future, specialized EEG studies for depression may lead to more precise diagnostic and monitoring methods for this disorder, ultimately enhancing treatment and expanding our understanding of the brain processes involved in depression.
