摘要

Injury of the long head of the biceps is a source of pain, limitation and discomfort for patients. There are several procedures to resolve this problem. The most common are subpectoral and suprapectoral tenodesis. The main objective of this research was to evaluate the evidence regarding the benefits of subpectoral tenodesis over the suprapectoral option. The effects were identified from published literature and were processed with meta-analysis methods in program R. Cost data from the perspective of the payer of care were obtained from the codebook of the General Health Insurance Fund and the decree of the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic. The results of study indicate slightly better results for subpectoral tenodesis, but the results can be influenced by a large number of variables affecting the outcomes of treatment.
