摘要

India has surpassed the estimates made by Lancet seven years earlier with 101 million diabetics and 135 million pre-diabetics. Diabetes increases the risk of atherosclerosis, which may lead to Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD), Chronic limb threatening ischemia (CLTI), amputations, and death. Epidemiological data on Artificial Intelligence/ Machine Learning (AI/ML) for PAD diagnosis and correlation of heart attacks in India is scarce. This research examines PAD risk variables and AI/ML’s ability to identify atherosclerotic plaques in patients’ lower limbs. The researcher analyzed 42 studies to ascertain the positive correlation of patients with diabetes and peripheral artery disease and the growing prevalence in the country.
