摘要

The field of interference and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) in medical devices requires the use of measuring instruments and controlled environments for accurate measurements – a practice that is not currently feasible in Romanian hospitals. Our proposed study method offers a simpler approach to identifying susceptible surfaces and implementing electromagnetic shielding solutions. By characterizing these environments, we can take proactive steps to reduce occupational exposure for staff and mitigate electromagnetic interferences in the Anesthesia and Intensive Care Unit. Specifically, our study aims to identify solutions to minimize such interferences and protect healthcare personnel from prolonged exposure to wireless transmitters. We have applied this method to a scenario within the Emergency Clinical County Hospital “Sf. Spiridon”, Iași, in the Anesthesia and Intensive Care ward.
