Apnea is a temporary cessation of breathing. Although apnea can occur in people of any age, the term is often associated with Sleep Apnea Syndrome (SAS), a condition in which a person’s breathing stops and restarts repeatedly during sleep. Our proposed apnea monitoring system refers to a method of recovering the energy of breathing following variations in air temperature during the inhalation-exhalation process using thermoelectric elements, storing the recovered energy in a battery of supercapacitors or rechargeable batteries, supplying a network of sensors that can be composed, for example, of an acceleration sensor or gyroscopic sensor, a microphone, a mini video camera.
