Noninvasive System for Glucose Monitoring Based on the Galvanic Skin Response (GSR)

Diabetes mellitus is among the most common chronic metabolic disorders in the world, and the number of people affected by this disease increases annually. According to statistics, the number of people with diabetes will reach 522 million by the year 2030. Diabetes is determined by high blood sugar levels, and current methods of blood sugar monitoring are invasive and cause discomfort. The objective of this paper is to obtain an alternative, painless method of blood glucose determination. This paper proposes to determine the correlation relationship between the blood glucose taken from a blood sample and the galvanic response of the skin and to estimate the glucose content using the galvanic response, using the regression line.
