摘要

Transports and mobility have been shaping urban areas for long. Railways and roads constituted often one of the main designing elements for developing and growing cities. Contemporary challenge may be represented by innovative mobility scheme role within shrinking cities. Urban regeneration needs may match indeed with multimodal integration required by mobility-a-s-a-service (MaaS) solution implementation. The present study focuses on potential synergies to be found among MaaS hub network design and brownfield regeneration. Mobility infrastructural multimodal integration may constitute a relevant driver of urban transformation, thus playing a pivotal role in terms of territorial value creation. According to its significant urban shrinkage processes and its current commitment in terms of innovative transport and mobility strategies, a Genoa case study would be investigated.
