摘要

Persons with physical disabilities face a critical issue related to access to transportation. Based on previous studies, persons with disabilities made 10–30% fewer of the number of trips than persons without disabilities. This research investigates the factors that affect the mobility of persons with physical disabilities. The study was conducted in Serbia, a country with a low level of inclusion of persons with disabilities, which is at the level of the worst European Union countries. The mobility of persons with physical disabilities was analyzed through the number of trips and the mode of trips. The analysis of the impact of observed factors was performed using linear and logistic regression models. Based on the analysis and discussion of the impact of factors, the following problems were identified: mobility dependence on other persons, inaccessible road infrastructure for persons with physical disabilities, and lack of basic life needs in suburban settlements. Based on the identified problems, we recommended encouraging persons with physical disabilities to be drivers of passenger cars and adapting the road infrastructure to the needs of persons with physical disabilities.
