Unveiling the Factors Influencing Organizational Sustainability Among Indian Millennials: A Systematic Review

Amidst the global momentum towards sustainabilitySustainability, it becomes imperative to recognize and comprehend the formidable force of the millennialMillennials generation, whose birth years span the era from 1980 to 2000, as they saturate the contemporary workforce, and in doing so, it helps to unlock their full potential in order to propel organizational sustainabilityOrganizational sustainability to greater heights. The purpose of the study is to investigate those factors affecting millennialsMillennials/Generation Y in the contemporary workplace which would contribute towards organizational sustainabilityOrganizational sustainability. Understanding the requirements and expectations of employees, particularly those of the millennialMillennials age, is becoming increasingly important for a growing number of enterprises. To get a thorough understanding, a set of journal articles and review papers published between 2010 and 2022 were analysed for identifying modal trends and patterns of millennialsMillennials contributing to organizational sustainabilityOrganizational sustainability, organizational commitmentOrganizational commitment, and productivity. The selected studies (n = 50) have been sorted out based on geographical location in which the study has been conducted (Only INDIA), relevance of the paper, and the prestige of the journal in which a particular paper has been published. The first section of this article situates our review within the context of past generational and leadership research. It then goes on to describe the review approach used and our significant findings which revealed various factors influencing millennialMillennials’s job satisfaction, job performance, and employee retention which in ultimatum would boost organizational sustainabilityOrganizational sustainability.
