In recent years, the intersection of COVID-19COVID-19 and climate changeClimate change has garnered significant interest and concern. While many articles have been published on this topic during the COVID-19 pandemic, there is a lack of specific bibliometricBibliometric studies that focus on the relationship between COVID-19 and climate changeClimate change. To address this gap, the study conducted a comprehensive analysis using the Web of ScienceWeb of Science Core Collection bibliographic database. They retrieved 1970 publications authored by 8194 individuals from 1002 different sources up until June 10, 2023. The objective of this article is to provide a summary of the current scientific literature that maps the connections between COVID-19COVID-19 and climate changeClimate change. The study aimed to analyze publishing trends in literature, including top-cited documents, productive countries, institutions, journals, authorship patterns, collaborations, commonly used keywords, funding bodies, and concerns related to climate changeClimate change such as climate emergency, climate crisis, climate breakdown, global heating, global warming, and COVID-19COVID-19/SARS-CoV-2SARS-CoV- 2/coronavirus. By conducting an extensive review of peer-reviewed articles, reports, and expert opinions, the study seeks to understand the complex interplay between the COVID-19COVID-19 pandemic and climate changeClimate change. We utilized various bibliometricBibliometric software for data analysis and integrated statistical parameters and indexes to provide a comprehensive ranking of entities. Overall, this research endeavor contributes to filling the research gap in understanding the connection between COVID-19COVID-19 and climate changeClimate change through bibliometric analysisBibliometric analysis. It sheds light on the current state of research, identifies influential publications and entities, and provides insights into the areas of focus within this field.
