摘要

The hallmark of Crohn’s disease is the fact that it often recurs following surgical treatment. Recurrent disease has a predilection for anastomotic sites, and there is evidence that patients requiring multiple anastomosis are more likely to recur sooner than patients with ileostomy. Currently, postoperative chemoprophylaxis is indicated in patients with Crohn’s disease after surgical resection in order to postpone the development of recurrence.
