Autoimmune hemolytic anemia (AIHA) is a group of immune-mediated disorders caused by autoantibodies against self-RBC antigens. In the United States, the estimated incidence of AIHA in adults ranges from 0.8 to 3 per 100,000 population per year, and a prevalence of 17 cases per 100,000 people yearly. AIHA includes the following types.
