End-to-Side Anastomosis Using Rat Femoral Vessels: Artery-to-Vein and Vein-to-Artery
摘要
Microsurgical end-to-side anastomosis is a versatile technique that can be applied in various configurations, including artery-to-artery, vein-to-vein, artery-to-vein, or vein-to-artery anastomosis. This method is commonly employed for revascularization purposes, particularly in cases where damaged vessels need to be restored, situations requiring the connection of vessels with differing diameters, organ transplantation and free tissue transfers. In this chapter, we will provide a detailed, step-by-step approach to performing both the artery-to-vein and vein-to-artery end-to-side anastomosis. Each procedure will be described comprehensively, ensuring a thorough understanding of the techniques involved. By following these instructions, surgeons will acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully perform microsurgical end-to-side anastomosis, enabling them to address a wide range of clinical scenarios involving vessel revascularization and the connection of size-mismatched vessels.
