In Chap. 7 we looked at the types of two dimensional collisions, that is, those that occur in a plane, but, for the investigation of each collision, it is necessary to develop formulas that allow us to determine the initial and final velocities of the vehicles involved in the collision, its components in direction of the impact line and in direction of the tangent to the impact surface as well as the angles of the initial and final velocities of the two cars with the x axis in each investigation case, which corresponds to the purpose of this chapter.
