Cross-Cultural Conflict, Resolution, and Negotiation
摘要
Even when fully equipped with information about the cultures we might meet, and being aware of the numerous skills and techniques that are appropriate in cross-cultural scenarios, conflicts are nevertheless inevitable on occasion. These are rarely enjoyable, and most people strive to find ways to patch things up and move on. This chapter addresses cross-cultural conflicts—their potential causes, environments, susceptible participants, and how strong they might be. Towards overcoming them, or at least mitigating their effects, the chapter suggests some resolution techniques, with specific regard to effective negotiation.
