National Peculiarities

The GDPR grants EU Member States considerable leeway when implementing national data protection regulations, both in terms of specifying the provisions of the GDPR and in terms of adding additional requirements. This results in significant differences between the data protection standards in the various EU Member States, particularly concerning employee, telemedia, and telecommunications data protection.
