Real-Time Frame Monitoring App: Development and Experimental Evaluation

Nations are progressing, leading to a surge in infrastructure development. Recent studies highlight the pressing need for a mobile application that can assess not only the construction quality of existing structures but also of new ones, thereby enhancing overall safety. Considerable research is underway, exploring diverse methodologies leveraging various sensors to enable real-time quality assessment. These methods aim to offer continuous on-site insights into a structure's dynamic behavior, spanning inspections, retrofitting, and environmental influences. While many industries have yet to adopt such techniques, this study introduces a real-time monitoring application applicable to buildings, bridges, and marine structures. This app conducts live analysis, visualizing the structure's behaviour in real-time by streaming vibrational data collected through cost-effective sensors. The validation of this application involves comparing experimental tests with analytical solutions. Furthermore, the study delves into the live-mode shapes and modal contributions shaping the structure’s behavior.
