A Simulation and Analysis of the Tractor Semi-trailer Vehicle's Rollover Condition Using Trucksim Software

摘要

Traffic accidents occur in the tractor-semi-trailer vehicle due to many reasons, mainly due to the vehicle's unstable motion. Rollover of the vehicle usually occurs when the vehicle collides with curbs, other vehicles, or obstacles, or when the vehicle turns on a curve road with a high adhesion coefficient of friction. Before developing active control systems, it is essential to accurately assess the state of the vehicle dynamics in order to increase the safety and stability of movements. For a better understanding of how a system will behave in various situations, physical system simulation is essential. The results of the survey with the condition of the step steer of the steering wheel angle clearly demonstrated the impact of the vehicle's speed on the rollover condition. The paper describes a method for using Trucksim software to simulate the dynamics and analyze the rollover condition of a tractor semi-trailer vehicle. The study identified rollover conditions as the basis for designing early warning and active control systems and appropriate traffic management solutions.
