Analysis of the Internal Combustion Engine Wear Mode
摘要
The contribution contains selected information from diagnostics of the technical condition of a vehicle’s internal combustion engine using worn-out lubricating medium. The contribution contains a methodology and a mathematical model for the evaluation and prognosis of the degradation of the lubricating medium. One of the models used was Discriminant Analysis (DA), which is a method of Multivariate Statistical Analysis (MSA) that serves to discriminate (differentiate) objects from a finite number of classes (categories) based on objects from a certain subset of all objects, the so-called training set, by compiling a decision rule and to the subsequent classification of the remaining objects (those outside the training set) by applying the obtained rule to other classes, which represent an estimate of the actual classes. Based on the analysis of this tribodiagnostic information, malfunctions can prevent and targeted maintenance can be optimized. It also makes it possible to reduce costs in the operational phase of the life cycle. The wear mode of vehicle internal combustion engines used in special wheeled vehicles is evaluated on the example of the implemented experiment.
