摘要

Structures’ vibration active control problem has always been of interest in research and industrial applications. This study presents the optimization of a controller based on fuzzy set theory (FC) to control building models subjected to seismic load. Optimization aims to minimize the system’s peak relative displacement and absolute acceleration. The design variables include the partitioning parameters of the membership functions, the reference range of the variables, the choice of the linguistic value of the control variable in the control rule base, and the weights of the rules. The appropriate constraints are also considered in the optimization process. The optimization tool is the Balancing composite motion optimization (BCMO) algorithm. Calculation results of a robust controller from a published study are also included to validate the performance of the proposed optimal controllers. The simulation results in this study show that the optimized fuzzy controllers have high control efficiency for different earthquake excitations.
