Quantum Technologies for Space and Aerial Vehicles

摘要

Quantum computing has the potential to revolutionize numerous fields, including satellite systems and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This chapter introduces quantum computing and discusses how it could be used to address major challenges in satellite and UAV technologies, such as navigation, control, data privacy, and secure communication, which have emerged as a result of the growing use of satellites and UAVs. Quantum technologies have the potential to facilitate secure communication, enhanced forensics, and substantial accelerations in computations such as path optimization, searching and machine learning. As we approach the quantum era, Quantum-resistant encryption protocols and Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) protocols will be crucial future countermeasures against cyber threats aimed at satellites and UAVs. In addition to these applications, governance and standardization of quantum technologies, as well as their use in satellite systems and unmanned aerial vehicles, are discussed.
