摘要

The vast majority of time, our work in the NeuroICU involves caring for the critically ill patient who presents to us after a thrombotic stroke, an intracerebral hemorrhage, altered mental status, and so forth. Yet, this is not always the case. This chapter outlines the responses we will be forced to activate in the presence of a disaster situation, and includes Disaster Preparedness, Response Orchestration, Rules of Engagement, Approach to Emergency Management, Emergency Support Functions, and Outcomes.
