摘要

Aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (aSAH) continues to be a challenging disease for treatment. Patients have high morbidity and mortality. Hospital courses can be complicated by hydrocephalus, cerebral salt wasting, vasospasm, and delayed cerebral ischemia. Over the past several decades high quality studies have been conducted to determine the optimal management of this patient population. Although much work is still needed, some evidence-based standards have emerged. In this chapter, we present the epidemiology of SAH, highlight the supported evidence, and present emerging areas requiring further investigation.
