Properties and Analytical Applications of Advanced Polymer Composites

Low-budget, multifunctional, high-powered, and environmentally friendly materials are receiving widespread attention in various research fields. Prolonging service life, and enhancing the high toughness and mechanical properties of such materials are common goals for researchers. Moreover, the compounding of various materials is a suitable method to achieve these aims. Polymer matrix composites, as one such new hybrid material, have been implemented in various fields of application. In this chapter, the composite principles of polymer matrix composites are explained in detail, and the applications of the composite materials (conductive, magnetic, nano, etc.) are well-reviewed, providing a theoretical basis for the development, application, and research direction for advanced polymer composites.
