摘要

The concept of decision support systems (DSS) was launched long before PCs existed, as early as the 1940s and 1950s, with the advent of operations research, behavioral and scientific theories of management and statistical process control and evolved in close connection with the development of information systems. The concept of DSS has also diversified greatly over the years. The purpose of this chapter is to provide a quantitative perspective on the research area of decision support systems, as reflected in the scientific databases ScienceDirect, IEEE Xplore, ACM Digital Library and Web of Science. The data are presented in comparison with similar data published in 2010 and 2013, with the aim of highlighting changes and developments over the last 10 years in this field.
