Resilience of Networks—A Partial Review
摘要
The problem of risks and resilience of networks is revisited using a combination of probabilistic and graph-based tools. Aspects of the relationship between the network topology and networks’ resilience is outlined. The main examples comprise computer and communication networks, biological, knowledge transfer, utility, and transportation networks (pipeline networks, railways, subways). The goals of the review are to discuss and clarify a few ‘metrics’ of resilience for networks and to present a few approaches to define and compute the resilience of networks and ways of resilience improvement.
