Applications in the Sciences, Technology, and Engineering

From the beginning and throughout the work, we present many relevant areas of applications including those for the special functions. This chapter is specifically dedicated to applications in the sciences, technology, and engineering. It features (weighted) non-Gaussian distributions, (generalized) weighted Gaussian distributions, benchmarks for cubature formulas, the Sommerfeld integral, and a related family of expansions. It concludes with exercises for the reader.
