Guide to Effective and Efficient Training

  • César Alonso Aguilar Mejía

摘要

The main objective of this chapter is to integrate two innovative tools into the therapeutic arsenal to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of training in patients with neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson’s disease. These tools are dual-task training involving cognitive and motor activities and active transfer training in the therapeutic process. Dual-task training involving cognitive and motor activities emerges as a key strategy for structuring therapeutic exercise planning. The chapter explores how this methodology can enhance outcomes in Parkinson’s patients by simultaneously integrating cognitive and motor aspects. Regarding active transfers, the focus is on how these can benefit Parkinson’s patients by promoting autonomy and reducing dependence caused by passive and/or assisted movements. By the end of this short chapter, readers will have the tools to plan therapeutic exercise sessions efficiently and effectively using the dual-task cognitive method. They will also understand the importance of active transfer in therapeutic prescription. In addition, details on other key aspects will be provided.
