  • César Alonso Aguilar Mejía

摘要

This chapter focuses on teaching a multidisciplinary approach to the diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease, involving various health-care professionals. It emphasizes the importance of continuous monitoring and effective management to improve patients’ quality of life and to adjust treatment as needed. The chapter presents a structured approach with algorithms and ancillary tests to improve diagnostic accuracy. It also examines clinical progression over time, providing an in-depth understanding of disease progression and its implications for clinical management. The role of available devices in diagnosing, accurately monitoring, and controlling the motor signs and symptoms associated with Parkinson’s disease is also examined as an integral part of the multidisciplinary approach. Expected outcomes after reading this chapter include improved diagnostic accuracy, more effective monitoring, and appropriate control of disease progression, contributing to personalized exercise therapy and care for Parkinson’s patients.
