  • César Alonso Aguilar Mejía

摘要

The purpose of this chapter is to explore the abnormal functioning of the human body following the onset of a neurodegenerative disease, with a particular focus on Parkinson’s disease. Fundamental aspects are covered, including the definition of neurodegenerative diseases, a detailed description of Parkinson’s disease, and factors that influence predisposition and protection against these diseases, as well as the identification of their signs and symptoms. The primary goal of this chapter is to provide an in-depth understanding of the pathological mechanisms of neurodegenerative diseases, particularly in the context of Parkinson’s disease. In addition, it aims to facilitate accurate diagnosis, specific monitoring and control of both motor and non-motor disorders affecting the patient. All of this is aimed at developing and recommending therapeutic exercise treatments tailored to the effects of these diseases, thereby contributing to improving the quality of life of the patients affected.
