Data Driven Industrial UX Gamification with Artificial Intelligence

In today's fast-paced world, where technology plays a crucial role in optimizing efficiency across different sectors, the significance of user experience (UX) has become even more evident, particularly in industrial environments. The advancement of technology in industries, with the human-machine interfaces (HMIs) and Internet of Things (IoT)-based software, has significantly impacted the importance of UX for industrial workers. Consequently, interfaces that incorporate UX values have transformed the previously manual and traditional aspects of Industry 2.0 or 3.0. This study explores the possibilities of using data-driven gamification with artificial intelligence (AI) to improve the UX in industrial settings. It specifically examines how gamification with elements of competition, rewards, and user collaboration can educate and advance engineers, facilitate employee growth, adapt to operational changes, promote leadership, initiative and increase intrinsic motivation. The study utilizes a two-fold approach, starting with a thorough analysis of established UX methodologies and the unique difficulties encountered in industrial environments. As a result, a cutting-edge data-driven gamification strategy is devised and deployed with AI and ML allowing the strategy to adapt, evolve and learn to customize the user experience. Using a mix of methods, the study incorporates qualitative insights from focus group interviews with quantitative data from user interactions. Focus group interviews help develop and refine the gamification strategy, ensuring a user-centered technology integration approach. The study contributes to the industrial user experience's ongoing evolution. These findings can improve user engagement, productivity, and technology integration in industrial workflows. This study lays the groundwork for industrial application focused UX design advancements. Gamification and AI integration demonstrate their efficacy in the industrial user experience. It emphasizes the importance of user-centric approaches for technology integration into industrial processes and the benefits of personalized and engaging user experiences.
