Competitor Analysis and Sustainable Development Goals
摘要
This research investigates the influence of the radical innovations on the radical shifts in the market commonality. Radical innovations (e.g., the technological breakthrough) are the drivers to compete in new markets beyond a focal firm’s market, blurring the boundaries between industries or competitive domains. Consequently, the nature and degree of competition within an industry are changing such that previous nonrivals (from different industries) become direct competitors (i.e., in the same strategic group). My research examines the dynamics of strategic groups and their evolution over the time after radical innovation changes in the environment. The study examines these dynamics in the context of substitution-based industry convergence (IC) in which a radical technological change render the old technologies invaluable and destruct the competencies of the targeted industry.
