Importance of Professional Diversification in Economy and Higher Education

The aim of the research is to present an accurate picture of the link between education and employment in the country. Taking into consideration the collected results will contribute positively to the establishment of an effective state higher education strategy at universities. In order to determine the orientation of educational activities, a quantitative study of students’ satisfaction with higher education was carried out using the sample size method. The results of the mentioned research indicate that the economic effect of higher education in Georgia and the employment opportunities at the individual level should be evaluated on the basis of representative data across the country. The acquired results will aid in determining what type of educational strategy should be adopted in the country to strengthen the relevance of higher education to the employment market and to develop an effective labour market. At the conclusion of the study, recommendations for state agencies and universities are provided.
