Survival Rate of Student Startups in the CleanTech in the UN Sustainable Development Goals Agenda

The purpose of the article is to analyze the influence of various reasons on the survival of student startups in the CleanTech field, as well as to determine a number of success factors and growth areas of CleanTech projects. The object of the study was student startups that graduated from ITMO University from 2020 to 2022 under the Business Thesis Program, implemented as part of the State Program «Business Thesis». To achieve this goal, the methods of survey and interviews with its participants were used. As a result of the work, the main reasons for the closure of student CleanTech startups upon finishing their education were identified, the factors determining their survival were formulated, and the main growth areas that stakeholders of student entrepreneurship should focus on to increase the chances of success of student CleanTech aimed at achieving the Sustainable Development Goals projects were determined. The findings make a significant contribution to the field of student entrepreneurship research in CleanTech. They not only cover a relevant topic, but also provide valuable practical recommendations that can be used by student entrepreneurship stakeholders.
