Investigating Factors Affecting the Implementation Process of Healthcare Accreditation
摘要
This study measures the implementation effect of healthcare accreditation on healthcare employees. It investigates factors affecting different healthcare facilities when accreditation is implemented. A conceptual model was developed based on thought-out study factors and an in-depth review of secondary data. A questionnaire was sent to targeted respondents to measure the study factors. The survey was based on the perception of private-sector healthcare employees. The main factor affecting the accreditation implementation process is top management support followed by human resources. Organisational culture did not impact the accreditation implementation process. Top management and policymakers can use the study’s findings to further support organisational learning and employees’ participation in the process for better output. The study is one of few that focuses on factors that affect healthcare accreditation when implemented in the private sector. Few studies were found talking on this issue and lacking scientific evidence.
