Pursuing Organizational Employee Engagement in Relation with Human Resources Management: Development of Conceptual Framework

摘要

Employee engagement (EE) exists in every practice of human resources management (HRM) where the employee is the main part of the relationship between the organization and management. Therefore, human resources practitioners are focusing on finding ways to enhance employee engagement in the workplace and vast number of scholarly works have been presented. Human resources management is the backbone of organizational success as different practices of human resources are modified in order to support the development of employee engagement and employee performance. From this point, this study is a conceptual work that studies the relationship of the human resources practices in relation to the employee engagements, and how HRM practices shapes the Employee Engagement and identifying its constructs. The methodology adopted is the structured literature review method in order to form a conceptual framework of employee engagement in relation to human resources management based on propositions found in the literature. The outcome of this paper found that recruitment, job design, training and development and reward and recognition are the constructs of employee engagement that lead to increase in the job performance. It has also been found the Employee engagement and HRM practices are intertwined and interchanged.
