The Effects of Transformational Leadership on Employee Job Satisfaction in Educational Organization
摘要
Although a large body of literature suggests transformational leadership plays a pivotal role in influencing employee job satisfaction, an increasing number of research studies have failed to establish such a relationship. Drawing upon leadership behavioral theory and social exchange theory, this paper assesses whether transformational leadership affects employee job satisfaction in educational organizations. Regression analysis was conducted after collecting survey data from 102 teachers working in Jordanian private schools. The results show that transformational leadership is positively associated with teachers' job satisfaction. Beyond this, our analysis also shows that the control variables such as age, gender, and educational qualification all have statistically significant effects on job satisfaction. This points to the importance of studying other contextual factors in understanding the extent to which specific leadership styles can influence employee work experience.
