The surgical anatomy of the major salivary glands; parotid, submaxillary, and submandibular is described. The workup including clinical examination, the role of imaging, and staging is outlined. The pathology of benign and malignant neoplasms and the surgical management of the same is included. Non-neoplastic disease of the parotid and submaxillary glands is also discussed.
