European Education Landscape
摘要
This chapter deals with education in the EU and tries to present the many differences between various groups of countries, which can be usefully grouped from a geographic point of view into: Scandinavian countries, Central European countries, Balkan states and Southern European countries (including France). Differences refer: first, to various aspects of the models of primary and secondary education; the articulation of courses from elementary school to tertiary education; various features of education, such as the length of school in primary and secondary schools in terms of number of days per year and the number of hours per day; the Erasmus program; whether education is free or not; education by sex; the change in the education levels of the population.
