Open Pelvis Fractures

Open pelvis fractures combine the worst elements of pelvis fractures with the worst elements of open fractures, and consequently have very high morbidity and mortality rates. The pathophysiology and causes of mortality are reviewed, and the basics of early treatment geared at improving survival are detailed.
