An Experience on Application of Learning Based on Project for Teaching Modelling in Physiology
摘要
The presented work exposes the experience of the application of Project-Based Learning for a course of Models and simulation of physiological systems that is taught in the 5th year of Electronic Engineering in the Faculty of Exact Sciences, Natural Sciences and Surveying; Northeast National University. With this objective, we present two models designed and developed from the beginning by students. We also evaluate the performance of several years of study, comparing the quantitative results when applying the method. The results show that students improve their academic performance and this translates not only in approval, but also in the low dropout rate during the course and the time it takes to take the final exams once they have passed the partial stages. One aspect to highlight is the improvement in the quality of the work carried out and the training in attitudinal skills that they acquire. Among them we highlight the commitment and motivation they showed in the search for better solutions to the problem posed.
