摘要
National Program for Quality Assurance in Medical Care (acronym in Spanish, PNGCAM) in Argentina aims to standardize the organization and operation of healthcare unit in all public and private healthcare medical center. This is to ensure the quality and safety of patient care. PNGCAM is mandatory for all jurisdictions in Argentina that participate in the program. The Clinical Engineering chapter has been collaborating with the National Ministry of Health to develop guidelines for the organization and functioning of Clinical Engineering Unit, although the completion date of the document is yet to be determined. This paper shares the key points of interest in creating guidelines for a Quality Management System (QMS) for Clinical Engineering Unit (CEU) as a national regulatory policy.
