Tensile Test on PETG Test Tubes as Material Validation for Application in UL Rehabilitation Prototypes
摘要
This study focuses on the tensile test of PETG specimens manufactured by 3D printing, specifically with FDM technology, with the aim of characterising the mechanical properties of the material and evaluating the quality of the manufacturing process, in order to validate the implementation in MS rehabilitation devices. In this work, the tensile test was carried out. In addition to the mechanical characterisation, an analysis of the quality of the 3D printing process is performed. Key parameters, such as dimensional accuracy, layer uniformity and interlayer adhesion, are evaluated to identify possible defects or problems in the fabrication of the PETG specimens. The analysis of the mechanical properties and the quality of the printing process allows optimising the design of the parts, selecting the appropriate printing parameters and ensuring the quality of the 3D printed products. The results and conclusions obtained are relevant for various industrial and design sectors that use this technology as a manufacturing method. Under this technology, quality assessment of the process is crucial to ensure the reliability and quality of the final 3D printed products.
