Case Study on the UI Design of Sports Health Management Apps for University Students Based on User Need

During the epidemic of COVID-19, online working and learning patterns become the norm. After the outbreak of COVID-19, social alienation and isolation largely changed the lifestyle of university students, and this habit of staying indoors for the sake of health also reduced university students. The lack of physical exercise will undoubtedly affect the state of life and work efficiency of university students and will also worsen their health condition. Thus, this study used face-to-face individual interviews and case comparison analysis to address the above-mentioned research gap. Then in case of comparison analysis, we analyzed the App structure and GUI design of the three popular sports health management Apps. The results of this study can help more university students in need of sports health management to select suitable related Apps and also allow more researchers to study sports health management Apps. In addition, we provided the developers with university students’ demand for sports health management Apps. The developers can design effective and user-friendly sports health management Apps to increase the use of the Apps among university students. As a result, the physical health of university students can be improved.
