摘要

Relative to adult patients, pediatric patients usually exhibit poorer self-control and psychological fortitude, rendering them more prone to fear, which could potentially have adverse effects on the treatment outcomes. The fears of medical experience in pediatric patients are often manifested through crying and restlessness among other psychological and behavioral traits. This study aims to explore the capability of interactive picture books and their art therapy efficacy in aiding pediatric patients to become acquainted with the examination and treatment procedures, thereby alleviating their emotional burden. Interactive picture books, a novel media interactive design, integrate illustrations, text, music, and virtual elements, enabling interaction between electronic devices and patients, and providing a child-friendly method to introduce and explain medical procedures. Additionally, the interactive experience can effectively offer social companionship and emotional support, alleviating the unfamiliarity and fear pediatric patients may harbor towards the hospital environment and surgical processes. Through survey methods and comparative evaluation experiments, the study validated the potential benefits of interactive picture books. The research findings indicate that preoperative interactive picture books for children piqued the interest of more pediatric patients, garnering longer usage durations. Moreover, these pediatric patients were more inclined to actively cooperate with medical staff in completing the examinations and treatment procedures, no longer exhibiting common anxious emotions and resistant behaviors. By introducing interactive picture books, the research team aspires to contribute to improving medical care, alleviating the fears of medical experience, enhancing overall treatment efficacy, providing more personalized care, thereby improving treatment compliance and patient satisfaction. This study provides robust guidance for future medical practices to promote the health and recovery of pediatric patients.
